The winners of the 3rd annual Phyllis Benson Art Fund Awards were announced at the Fairlawn Neighbourhood Centre’s 2009 Fall Fine Art Show. Sue Ennis won the Artist Award and Jovaughn Nash won the Student Award.
The winners of the 2nd annual Phyllis Benson Art Fund Awards were announced at the Fairlawn Neighbourhood Centre’s 2008 Fall Fine Art Show. Ruth Hayes won the Artist Award and Anniecia Morris won the Student Award.
We are pleased to announce the recipients of the inaugural Phyllis Benson Art Fund awards: Jules Oille and Geena Akonua.
Phyllis Benson was a Toronto painter, and also a mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many of us. She passed away on February 5, 2007, following a 25 year battle with breast cancer.
This site serves as a memorial to her life and art.
